Social Media 2013 Video

Like it or not, social media isn’t going anywhere. So what’s happened in the past 12 months, and where’s it all going?

Watch this video and be educated and entertained, in just 3 minutes and 51 seconds.

Can’t see the video to watch? Watch the social media 2013 video on YouTube.

One of the most amazing things was this stat:

69% of parents are “friends” with their children on social media.

I would say ONLY 69%, because I would encourage ALL parents to watch everything their children do online, to prevent bullying and other inappropriate behaviors.

What about you?

What was YOUR most amazing stat or idea from this video? Leave it in the comments below.

1 Generation Y and Z consider e-mail passé and
2 Some universities have stopped distibuting e-mail accounts.

Only things that pops into my mind is…What? Are you joking?

Checked out the statement that universities have stopped distributing e-mail accounts…there is only one record from Boston College. The College have stated that students will get instead of an standard college e-mail account an e-mail-forwarding service that will pass along messages to whatever personal e-mail account a student specifies.

And let´s be honest, e-mail passé…how else do we register to our social media accounts?

Bottom line, we are questioning the statements in the video and discussing it. That is probably the entire purpose, right?
